22 November - Burgers Bar

Another lovely day exploring! On Sundays, we don't have class so we get to be out all day! It is frustrating to have to be in a group of 5 still, but we made it work. We went to the Rampart's walk again (no photos because I took a ton last time I went). Then we went to the Russian Compound - an old prison. Super creepy! Then just around and around...we got burgers in West Jerusalem at BurgersBar I MISS BURGERS they were so good!! Kenzie and I split the two sliders. Rizek had this lamburger he said was the best sandwich he has ever eaten. We went to the vintage thrift store again and Anne Marie got this amazing snowflake Christmas sweater, and I got a red wool coat (!!!). Some got ice cream, then a few of us went into the Old City so I could grab something I had ordered (ceramics, shocker). We were so LATE! We were speed walking the whole way back (supposed to be home by 5:00, or when the sun goes down). We got in at 5:06 and luckily nothing happened to us. I have NO idea how I am going to get all this stuff home....I'll make it work though.

19 November - Studying on the Roof

Everyone was torn today between going out and studying for our huge New Testament midterm. Everybody is stressed about the test because we all have new professors and are not sure on how they will test us, BUT we were recently allowed to go out again so everybody wants to leave! I figured out a compromise, and was somehow able to convince 4 other people to come with me. We went to one site with everyone - the Russian Orthodox church on the Mount of Olives, then we went into the Old City and sat on the roof of the art studio and studied for almost 2 hours! Then we walked into the Jaffa gate area and got some pizza from Jacob's pizza [YUM]. Then we walked across the city to a park where the rest of everybody was playing football...EARLY TURKEY BOWL!! So fun and festive. The weather was amazing today.

17 November - Wandering

Today we seriously decided to go on any streets in the Old City we had never been on before! So I don't know where any of these places are, I wouldn't really be able to find them again probably. We ended up in the area where all the kids were getting let out of school. Sarah took a Fujifilm (polaroid) photo of these little girls and they freaked out.
