Free Day!

On Sunday October 4, we had all day to ourselves. Right after breakfast, we headed out and saw the Dormition Abbey, the tomb of David, an underground Holocaust museum, and the Upper Room. This church of Dormition was beautiful!! Underground was the tomb of Mary, surrounded by a bunch of beautiful mosaics. The outside of the building is like a triangle, it is just so cool!!

Right when we got off our taxi bus (10 shekels a person), we were surrounded by a bunch of Israeli officials. Chanise loved it.

We saw a few sukkahs around, and we poked our heads into this huge Jewish party happening- today is the last day of their holiday, Sukkot!

Next, into the Holocaust museum. There was an album of film photos in there that I have never seen anything like before...these photos can't be found online anymore. It is rare that you see this many photos this horrible.
