DESERT MADNESS.
Wow, the weather in Turkey was so nice, and we came back to the same beating sun. We drove out to Jericho, and stopped at this gorge with a monastery built into the cliffs and caves. IT WAS SO HOT...and it was only 9 am at this point.
Jericho was surprisingly green because of the large spring here...it is also the oldest city in the world (probably). We talked about the city wall falling down. I was about to die of heat and sun exposure so that's all I remember. Oh, I also took some mosaic tiles that I found in some ruins in Herod's palace...so I have those.
