26 November - Thanksgiving

We went canoeing for Thanksgiving today! We were surprised at how free we were in the river considering how many restrictions we have in the lake...we jumped off of trees and rope swings and swam and tipped over. Jacob panicked a little bit when our two canoes flipped. He yelled to his dad, "I want to be with you NOW!!!!" Anyways, the Jordan River is beautiful over here. HUGE palm trees hang over the banks and everything is green. The water wasn't even that cold!!

We had an interesting Thanksgiving meal...we went to a restaurant owned by the kibbutz and got St. Peter's fish. A WHOLE FISH. We had to pick the bones out and everything. It was yummy but not too filling (but that was fine because we ate loads of pita and salsa before the fish came out).  After we ate, we drove 20 minutes around the lake into Tiberias and explored their boardwalk.  Sarah got the funniest shirt, the text on it makes no sense.  I guess I can't really explain it and I didn't get a picture so...oh well.

WE LOVE GALILEE!!! Sarah and I are sharing a huge bed and we have six pillows and four poofy blankets on it. We could sleep forever. It has been nice being on this little vacation, even though we still have hours of classes every other day.
